LiFe Is GrEaT!
A few updates on my current status.
For the past week:
1. Copy Writing Course - I went for a short course on copywriting... it was quite fruitful, being that it opens up what I understand about copywriting. As being trained in Engineering and Marketing Strategies, copywriting is not exactly something that I have formal training on.
I guess this course will help me in my currently work in creating the “copies” for print ad/ catalogues.
2. Department Family Day – We had lunch at a chicken rice restaurant that serves relatively good “yam paste” dessert… yummy… followed by Kite Flying and photo taking at Marina Barrage’s visitor gallery. It was quite sad that one of my colleagues was sick and couldn’t join us. :)
Nevertheless, the day was great especially the kite flying session…. caused it’s been such a long time since I fly a kite…. this brings back lots of sweet childhood memories. And yes, it was so funny that my colleague’s kite flew off 5 seconds after it started flying haha… and mine too after 5 minutes because we didn’t tie the strings to the handles… haha
3. Won Lucky Draw Tickets - Went to the MIS members’ night event for the screening of award winning TV ads introduced by Leo Burnett. The event was quite interesting and I won a series of free seminars on application of Sun Zi Art of War Strategies to Business… mm… that will be quite interesting…. Haha… this is something that I wanted to know more about quite some time ago but I had given out in reading the “thick” book after a while. Haha, probably the seminars will help :)
PS: I had never won a lucky draw before haha…. And I am like so happy but I guess my friend was like… why you are so trill on the lucky draw thingy haha…
Guess I am really lucky this year hehe….
4. Ghostly Encounter – And ya talking about “lucky”…. mm… it’s currently the “7th month” now and 4 days ago I encounter my 1st and hopefully the one and only XX experience that I will ever had in my entire life.
Come to think of that, the experience is really quite spooky but somehow there is a sense of trill attached as well in it… maybe it’s my adrenaline pumping due to fear? But I am positive that I will never want to and never will experience such encounter again… probably I should leave work earlier and not work OT till so late….
For the past few months:
1. Wedding, Wedding and more Weddings
My friend is getting married Congratulation Ange, yap I will be attending your wedding haha….
My BF brother, Andy is getting married too…will be helping up on that day….
I do hope to post some pictures of the weddings up…..Haiz…my non-camera phone is really getting on my way
2. I have graduated! – Yap finally finished my part-time grad dip marketing course…. Lots of mixed feelings towards that….
Happiness that finally… I will be getting more time for myself, my family and my friends
Sadness… I guess I will really miss my wonderful classmates and the fun we had in the one a month “tong siao” project and activities that we do together
Confuse on what to do next…. (I believe in constant upgrading…)
Hope… on moving on/ moving up towards my marketing career
Yap Jul, Frances (French toast) and Adrian I will be arranging the steamboat and durian outing when Jul is back haha…
3. Driving – A few more lessons to go before to my driving test…yipi… I must jiayou!!!
4. Meet up with Rachel a couple of times this month….Rachel, jiayou!
5. Soccer Viewing – Went to Seven @ illuma with dear’s fren…. though technically I am not a great soccer fan… I must say that the place is great with the bed look-a-like sofa and the huge and I mean really huge/gigantic screen that stretches out with like the length of the cinema screen… so soccer fans do keep a look out haha!
6. Yap will be meeting up with my ice skating gang soon… yap its been so long since we last catch up…. Looking forward to meet up with them hehe and yap Huiying thanks for the arrangement.
7. And last but not least…..Life is Great! - I must say I love my job… a lot… from the nature of the work, my personal career goals and achievements to my colleagues and boss… I must say again…ITS GREAT!!! Haha…..
Hey Jul, Frances and Adrian…. My job is not just about attending courses la, I doing course reviews la haha and I got to do lots of comms things as well haha…
More to update…….soon….Yap, really tired now and probably there are lots of grammar mistakes above haha…Signing off hehe… MUACK!
